This course provided a first contact with the theory of categories and some of its fundamental results and constructions. Topics included categories, functors and natural transformations, duality, representable functors and the Yoneda Lemma,  limits, colimits, and associated results, adjunctions and the Adjoint Functor Theorem,  monads, algebras, and monadic functors, filtered colimits, and abelian categories.
